Dr. Benjamin (Ben) Lynch combines a wealth of expertise with a genuine passion for mathematics and student success. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from Cedarville University in 2003 and his Ph.D. in Mathematics from The University of Tennessee, where his research in algebra focused on non-unique factorization. In Spring 2014, after a postdoctoral position at North Carolina State studying spectral graph theory and its applications to modern biological data sets, he brought his talent for teaching and research to Texas A&M University. As a senior lecturer, he taught a wide range of undergraduate mathematics courses, including precalculus, calculus, and differential equations. He is an outstanding instructor who fosters strong problem-solving skills and mathematical reasoning among his students.

Dr. Lynch joined the Math Learning Center (MLC) full-time in 2022, bringing important technical leadership to the Virtual Math Learning Center (VMLC). As one of the original members of the VMLC team, he has been instrumental in expanding its resources, including the popular Workshops and Algebra Series, ensuring it remains an indispensable tool for students navigating the challenges of mathematics. Now serving as the Senior Educational Consultant, Dr. Lynch’s excitement for enhancing the VMLC shines through in every project he undertakes. His unwavering commitment to supporting students and his collaborative spirit make him an invaluable member of the MLC team.
