Dr. Elliot Cartee is an Instructional Assistant Professor of Mathematics and a Math Learning Center (MLC) Fellow at Texas A&M University, a role he has held since Fall 2024. He graduated from Cornell University with a Bachelor of Arts in 2014, and a Ph.D. in 2020. From 2020 to 2023 he served as an L.E. Dickson Instructor at the University of Chicago.

As the MLC liaison, Dr. Cartee spearheads the Hands-On Grades Up (HOGU) initiative for engineering majors, demonstrating his dedication to helping students master complex mathematical concepts. While at Texas A&M, Dr. Cartee has taught multiple sections of Differential Equations and has positively impacted his students by ensuring they are frequently engaged in critical thinking and problem-solving. He continues to seek out innovative teaching methods through collaboration with other MLC staff. His innovative teaching methods and commitment to student success make him an invaluable asset to both the MLC and the Aggie community.
