COLLEGE STATION, Sept. 8, 2021 — On Sept. 15, the Math Learning Center (MLC) will be holding an open house at their new location in Blocker 249. The event will be from 3:00-5:00 p.m., and light refreshments will be provided.
“The open house marks the completion of the renovations to our classrooms and our administrative offices; the classrooms have been operational since the fall of 2020, but most people were off-campus,” MLC Administrative Coordinator Scott Loehr said. “The purpose of the open house is to invite all campus stakeholders to come see the facilities, hear about the services we offer, and [learn about] some upcoming projects, like the Virtual Math Learning Center.”
During the open house, attendees will have the opportunity to tour the new spaces and learn about how students can utilize MLC services. Additionally, Assistant Provost for Undergraduate Studies and MLC Executive Director Dr. Paulo Lima-Filho plans to give remarks at 3:30 p.m. Those interested in attending can RSVP by emailing scottloehr@tamu.edu.
"We are open to all A&M students, both online and face to face,” Lima-Filho said. “Come and learn about all we can do for the success of our students in Math and Statistics and the new features that will soon be available to all Aggies."
The Math Learning Center provides Help Sessions, Week-in-Review sessions, tutoring by appointment, and reboot workshops designed to help students succeed in their math classes. To see how these services will be offered during the Fall 2021 semester, visit mlc.tamu.edu.
